Inventory Management Dashboard
The Inventory Management dashboard project is a technical solution that utilizes data analytics and visualization to provide a comprehensive overview of inventory status for 303 SKUs. The project was designed to address the common problem of lack of visibility and transparency in inventory data, which can lead to inefficiencies and increased costs.
To begin the project, data was collected from two primary sources, "Past Orders" and "SKU Data," which contained information on past sales and SKU details, respectively. The data was then cleaned and processed through extensive calculations using python to prepare it for analysis, including:
-
Annual sales quantity calculation to determine the overall demand for each SKU
-
Revenue calculation to understand the financial impact of inventory management decisions
-
ABC analysis to identify which SKUs are the most important and require the most attention
-
Safety stock calculation to ensure sufficient stock levels to meet demand
-
Reorder point calculation to determine the optimal time to place new orders
-
XYZ classification to prioritize inventory management efforts based on the characteristics of different SKUs.

Using Table, I then created an interactive dashboard that provides a clear and concise view of the inventory status, allowing for better decision-making and ultimately improved business performance. The dashboard features multiple visualizations, including bar charts and pie charts, that show inventory levels, reorder points, and lead times for each SKU. It also includes the ability to filter and drill down by category, supplier, and location, making it easy for users to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in their inventory management.
With the Inventory Management dashboard, companies can easily access and analyze their inventory data, which can help to optimize their operations and improve their overall performance. By utilizing the dashboard, companies can:

-
Reduce stockouts and improve customer satisfaction
-
Identify patterns and trends in demand, allowing for more accurate forecasting
-
Improve supplier relationships by identifying top-performing suppliers and managing supplier performance
-
Achieve cost savings through reduced carrying costs and improved inventory turnover
-
Improve overall business performance by making data-driven decisions in inventory management.

Overall, the Inventory Management dashboard is an essential tool for any company looking to improve their inventory management and achieve cost savings, improved customer satisfaction, and improved overall business performance.
